QUESTION: How many people were in the survey?

CLUE 1. Four people preferred the Split-leaf Philodendren.
CLUE 2. One-third of everyone surveyed preferred the most popular plant, the Venus Fly-trap.
CLUE 3. Only half as many preferred the Split-leaf Philodendren as preferred the Venus Fly-trap.
CLUE 4. The number of people who preferred the African Violet was the same as the number that preferred the Boston Fern.
There were only four choices; each person had to choose only one of the four.
CLUE 5. One-fourth of all the people surveyed preferred the Boston Fern.
CLUE 6. Remember, there are were only four choices.
